Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)

The UC of "Project" is intimately connected to "Requirements Analysis Project" as it comes in sequence of the
work previously done in the latter.
The courses the "Requirements Analysis Project" and "Project" assume autonomous work of the student in
preparing a project, unique and especially made for this purpose, under the guidance of a faculty member,
chosen from among the teachers of ESTSetúbal recognized as a specialist by the Council of Scientific-Technical ESTSetúbal (provided it has a master's degree), which will monitor the student's work over the two semesters.
It is important for students at this level of training to have the possibility to choose between a project workoriented theoretical and practical (job application technique) and a dissertation-oriented theoretical and empirical (scientific research), both in Computer area, as also the management area or, preferably, both at the same time.

Syllabus

The student with the help of his/her advisor should proceed with the work plan related to the project/dissertation.
As regards the course of the "Project" conditions, the delivery and discussion / defense project work or
dissertation / to be approved in the UC and complete the Masters it is recommended to consult the Regulation of the MSc courses in ESTSetúbal.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The contents depend on the particular design, being only required that the work comprises a project, not merely a theoretical study and that the application area is substantially contained in the relevant fields of the course.

Teaching methodologies

The student's work is accompanied by a faculty advisor, using methods tutorial guidance for the development of the project work or writing their dissertation / thesis student, and in the follow-up individual meetings in person or at a distance, at least monthly .

Occasionally seminars are conducted on some specific aspects related to the preparation of project work or
dissertations.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

Regular workshops are organized for presentation of preliminary versions of the work and provide an
opportunity for discussion / advocacy work done by students.
